Ku’Lani has several parties every day, whether it’s a DJ dance party, a chat session, or a games party, or the occasional live concert. Keep up with events using the sign on our MyStory Boardwalk. Click here!

For the times where you just want to relax and enjoy the scenery with a friend or lover, wander around the sim and search for a lounger, or a pile of pillows, or even a raft in the middle of the river.

Spend some time exploring, find that perfect quiet location, and share quality time with someone special. They’ll love you for it.

  • Relay For Life at Ku’Lani

Here at Ku’Lani, we have some of our staff family working tirelessly on a Relay For Life team, hoping to make a big impact in the fight against cancer.

In the words of one of our team’s leaders, Lynnette Night

Hey there Staff !! Harley and I do what we can to raise lindens for fighting that God awful Monster that likes to ruin everyone’s lives. We adore Relay for Life and had an absolute blast last year. We last year did live concerts, Lazer Tag, Special Themed Sets, etc to raise lindens for our team. Actual raising for your team doesn’t start until after the new year but that doesn’t mean we can’t plan now for it. There are only 2 rules that Harley and I go by for a Relay Team and they are real simple…

1- Love one another because we are all here to raise in memory of someone or for the fact that you once kicked Cancer’s ass

2- Support one another because again.. this is for those we lost or those currently fighting

Team Belle Ame has already raised over $1000 USD for the American Cancer Society, and they’re not slowing down. Ku’Lani currently has a Raffle going on to raise money and awareness, we have donation boards at several places in the sim, and coming up on Saturday April 13, we’re having a Fashion Show!

    The list of events follows:

  • The Far Side Of The Mountain

Are you looking for a place to relax? Somewhere quiet and hidden from view? Take a walk around the mountain in the center of the sim.

Ku’Lani has a raised lounger on the side of the mountain, a bed under palm trees, another spot with a blanket and umbrella, and finally a lounger, all located on the quiet side of the mountain. The view from any of those spots is incredible!

If you include the floating rafts in the river, there is even more places to relax by yourself, or bring a friend for a cuddle (or more!)

Come to Ku’Lani, and look for the mountain, and explore!

  • Wonderland Event Skybox

Just in time for spring, Ku’Lani has a new skybox. Come to visit and enjoy a Wonderland themed area, with mini-golf, a dance area, and photo props.

As with most Ku’Lani events, Wonderland will be MyStory enabled. Furniture and food will all be MyStory-ready. In addition, DFS (or Digital Farm System) is enabled.

Ku’Lani’s Spring Hunt will begin in Wonderland. There will be twenty fantasy mushrooms located around the sim for this hunt, with fun hunt items hidden in each. The Spring Hunt will be LIVE by the time you see this post!

Ku’Lani’s Wonderland is set up and ready for you to visit!

  • Where Do You Land?

We have a new landing spot for people who are using search to get to Ku’Lani. The gazebo that you will land in includes a map, TP board, and a bridge to The Koffee Korner. There is a circle of chairs to meet with new friends, offering a wonderful view of Ku’Lani. Do you have a favourite LM that you keep for Ku’Lani? Where do you like to land?

The rental kiosk is there, Ku’Lani Konnects magazine, and the info for the Ku’Lani Hunt.

Nearby the new gazebo on the shore side of Hippie Beach is a new game called Splasher Crashers. Look for the sign and rezz a bumper boat!

Make sure you bring a friend, the bumper boats are more fun when you can ram someone and make cartoon sounds as they sink into the sea! (No avatars will actually be injured.)

Visit Ku’Lani, and enjoy the new landing spot gazebo!

  • Revisiting Hippie Beach

Hippie Beach is a quiet little corner of Ku’Lani most of the time, unless of course we’re having a party there! It’s set up as a perfect spot for DJ parties, but there is so much more there.

Look around Hippie beach, and you’ll see a hidden pond where flamingos frolic, with blankets to lay and enjoy the tranquility.

Along the other side of the beach is a dock, with loungers, a Truth or Dare game table, a private cabana, and another cabana with a MyStory enabled bathroom. You’ll also see the famous Hippie Beach van. which is the inspiration for the name of the beach. And don’t miss the horse stand at the far side of the beach, grab a horse and tour the sim. There’s so much to discover!

Click here to visit Hippie Beach

Stay tuned for more spotlights of Ku’Lani Beach.

  • New Treehouses at Ku’Lani Beach

It’s spring, and that means Ku’Lani has some changes to enjoy.

The treehouses are fully furnished, and come with a view of the party dock. Maybe a good place for people watching if you don’t want to be at the party! The treehouses are also on a tranquil part of the sim, a short walk from the Tiki Bar. Climb up, relax, spend some time with friends. Don’t try moving in though, these are for everyone to share!

  • Meditation Area, with a Secret Cave Below

It’s that time of the year, renovation season! Our sim renovation expert Morri has been hard at work building a new area, a mediation area complete with lush grasses, and meditation and yoga poses. This sheltered area is perfect for relaxing, and finding some peace.

You’ll find the new meditation area not far from the main pool. Look for the mountain and greenery, and walk up the stairs. You’ll appreciate the peace you feel while you’re there.

If you search to the right of the stairs to the meditation area, you’ll find a very well hidden cave door. Walk into the cave… keep going… just a little further! You’ll find a room with naughty delights. Bring a few friends, explore the deepest parts of the cave with a lover or three, there is enough furniture for all of you.

For both locations, your adventure begin right here. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Magic/82/203/21

  • Snow in Ku’Lani

It’s winter in the northern hemisphere, so it’s time to bring back…. “Snow in Ku’Lani!” (And no, the snow we’re talking about isn’t the author) If you visit the event box in November and December, you’ll be arriving in a huge Winter Wonderland, far removed from Ku’Lani’s usual sand and water.

The gazebo has already been used as a Thanksgiving area, so friends could meet around the table to celebrate together. Thanksgiving always makes way for other winter festivities though, so dances are always happening regularly in the gazebo.

When you take a teleport from the ground, this is probably where you are landing, across from The Ice Goddess and near Snowball Arch. A teleport board is nearby if you decide you’re not dressed for the weather and need an immediate return to sand and sunshine!

Walk around the event area, you’ll find an ice rink with free skates. Continue to explore, and you’ll find snowball throwing, mini-golf, and a snowy snuggle shack! Of course, no visit to Winter Wonderland is complete without a visit to Santa’s big chair.

Did you know we have a Winter Bear Hunt? Find the Ice Goddess on the ground level for your teleport up to the Winter Wonderland.

Your hunt includes Snow Bears and Sand Bears, so you’ll be hunting on the ground too! Look for details at The Ice Goddess! Explore Ku’Lani, the Bear Hunt will take you all around the sim, bring a friend and start hunting!

  • Thanksgiving at Ku’Lani

It’s Thanksgiving this week, and Second Life tends to get a little quieter. Many of our American friends are away to visit family, but for a lot of other people, they have family here in SL. Ku’Lani has a spot for you to celebrate!

A Thanksgiving area has been set up in the Winter Wonderland skybox, so come visit and bring all of your friends. You’ll find a full Thanksgiving Dinner set up in the gazebo, and you’ll get the added bonus of being among the first to get to see this year’s Winter Wonderland!

One of the tables is all MyStory compatible food, so the dinner will be suitable for all of your family, the MyStory and the non-MyStory players.

Find your ride up to the Winter Wonderland box by finding the Snow Goddess near the Koffee Korner. Or take the direct link https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Magic/60/187/3134

No matter where you are in the world, Ku’Lani is here, come visit, bring your friends and family.
